The Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship (CADS) leads the Libraries’ scholarly communication efforts. The center engages in partnerships across campus and the community to increase the visibility and impact of research and scholarship produced at K-State. We advocate for open access and innovative discovery platforms in order to preserve and globally disseminate quality content.

Our center is committed to:

  • Providing publishing opportunities to advance the dissemination of research and scholarly work.

  • Promoting and enhancing education, instruction and consultation on copyright, fair use, author rights and other intellectual property issues.

  • New Prairie Press (NPP) becoming a relevant and valuable publishing alternative for open access journals, monographs and conference proceedings at the university.

  • Promoting and enhancing education, instruction and consultation on open access.

Areas of focus include: Copyright, Data Services, K-State Research Exchange (K-REx), New Prairie Press, Open Access, and Scholarly Communication.
